Terri Walker

Probably one of the most popular Associates at our Baltimore location, Terri works as a Human Resources Specialist and has worked for BISM for 8 years.

From handling onboarding of new Associates to serving as the liaison between BISM and MTA Mobility, Terri does it all with a smile and positive attitude. Terri is the go-to for so many Associates and is highly respected. Want to get to know more about Terri? Here is her interview:

Are you a coffee or tea person?
Coffee!!! Pumpkin spice is my favorite! it must be either from Duncan or Starbucks! Honestly, if there was a Starbucks closer to work, I’d be there all the time.

Are you a morning person or night owl?
Surprisingly, I am not a morning person. Thanks to my coffee, it seems like I am. I must have my cup of coffee in the morning. If it wasn’t for work, I would be a night owl. I love to sleep in. On weekends, I make sure to take advantage of the opportunity to sleep in. I love getting up around 9 or 10 AM.

What kind of music do you like?
I like all genres, but I absolutely love music from the 80’s! The music from that time has such an upbeat feel and makes me happy. Janet, Whitney, Celine, Madonna…the list goes on., Now, even though I love the music from the 80’s, I am not a fan of the style from that time. No big, teased hair for me.

What’s the best concert you’ve been to?
When I was younger, someone I was dating took me to see Jewel. It was so much fun, and I really enjoyed the show. In the future I really want to see Reba Macintyre. I really love her music!

If you could play an instrument, what would it be?
I would play the flute. It has such a pretty and soft sound. It is so relaxing. My sister played the flute when we were younger, and I have always loved it.

What are you most proud of?
I am extremely proud of being a homeowner. The process of buying a home was a lot of work, but it was fun and rewarding. My home is such a warm and inviting place and I love it.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself in an advanced HR position. I also see myself expanding my family. Perhaps moving to a larger home in the future. Ranch style. I love my current home, but I don’t want to deal with going up and down stairs forever.
