Youth

Knowing that kids with vision loss often feel isolated from their schoolmates, BISM provides youth programs to help children remain confident and independent in their homes, schools, and communities.

For youth aged 5 to 21, our diverse offerings include our GLIDE (Gaining Leadership, Independence, Direction and Experience) program, designed to foster essential skills year-round.  Additionally, our elementary-aged summer program in Salisbury and residential summer programs for teens provide immersive experiences aimed at cultivating independence and confidence.
