Who we are:
The BISM- Raleigh textile operations group manufactures military uniforms for our nation’s military. We are known for our outstanding quality, excellent customer service and on-time delivery.
What we do:
We cut and sew and distribute contract military tactical gear.
What will you do:
You will perform basic maintenance tasks, as well as assemble and repair sewing machines.
You Will also:
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment including sewing machines.
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment.
- Perform various maintenance duties on facility.
- Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
- Maintain and secure work tools.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Make recommendations on repair/replacement of equipment.
- Install new equipment.
- Assist in maintaining a parts inventory for equipment.
What knowledge skills and abilities do I need?
- Manual dexterity required – will routinely stand, sit, lift, climb, etc.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must possess and maintain a forklift operator’s training certificate.
- Experience with Industrial Sewing Machine Repairs and adjustments.
- General knowledge of construction trades i.e. Carpentry, electricity, HVAC, plumbing, etc.
- Good communication skills are highly desired.
