Our need is for an Operations Associate to join our Baltimore, MD location. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a close-knit group, in a team-based environment.
We are looking for a full time, Buyer/Planner II. The schedule will be Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.
Essential Position Functions:
(Other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Plans the need of material to meet customer schedules and coordinates material to meet the production schedule.
- Works with venders on the delivery schedule and is apprised of intermediate steps from the fabric supplier to our dock doors.
- Advises production on the status of outstanding orders and where the product is in the production/ delivery cycle.
- Tracks the progress of goods as they are being completed and delivered to ensure they remain on schedule.
- Revises schedules as needed to accomplish production benchmarks in the cutting process.
- Communicates with production supervisors and managers so that everyone will know what the status of material and the anticipated impact on production, as well as ultimately the customer’s needs.
Qualifications:
- Must have strong analytical skills to be able to effectively consolidate and report critical information to management.
- Is able to accurately forecast future needs
- Understands the sewing process thoroughly and has reasonable expectations as to what can be accomplished in a certain timeframe.
- Has good problem solving skills, can easily revise a plan when needed, excellent time management skills.
- Is flexible and able to react to changes as needed.
- Possess good math, English and writing skills.
- Strong PC skills. Must possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have intermediate to strong skill using MAX or other material requirement planning programs.
