Buyer/Planner II – Baltimore, MD

Our need is for an Operations Associate to join our Baltimore, MD location. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a close-knit group, in a team-based environment.

We are looking for a full time, Buyer/Planner II. The schedule will be Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.

Essential Position Functions:
(Other Duties May Be Assigned)

1. Plans the need of material to meet customer schedules and coordinates material to meet the production schedule.
2. Works with venders on the delivery schedule and is apprised of intermediate steps from the fabric supplier to our dock doors.
3. Advises production on the status of outstanding orders and where the product is in the production/ delivery cycle.
4. Tracks the progress of goods as they are being completed and delivered to ensure they remain on schedule.
5. Revises schedules as needed to accomplish production benchmarks in the cutting process.
6. Communicates with production supervisors and managers so that everyone will know what the status of material and the anticipated impact on production, as well as ultimately the customer’s needs.

Qualifications:

• Must have strong analytical skills to be able to effectively consolidate and report critical information to management.
• Is able to accurately forecast future needs
• Understands the sewing process thoroughly and has reasonable expectations as to what can be accomplished in a certain timeframe.
• Has good problem solving skills, can easily revise a plan when needed, excellent time management skills.
• Is flexible and able to react to changes as needed.
• Possess good math, English and writing skills.
• Strong PC skills. Must possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have intermediate to strong skill using MAX or other material requirement planning programs.
