Blind Industries & Services of Maryland is a 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to provided career and training resources to Blind and Low-vision individuals of all ages.

Your support allows BISM to serve Blind and Low-Vision individuals.

Over 400 people (majority of whom are Blind or Low-Vision) are employed by BISM.
BISM's programs and services are free for Blind and Low-Vision Marylanders of all ages.
BISM offers real life skills for adults and youth to achieve self-sufficiency, personal growth and independence.
We have an uncompromising belief in the capability of every Blind and Low-Vision person.

In a typical year, BISM serves 136 youth, 932 adults and 1,006 seniors. Your donation funds:

$78,100/year for each CORE Student
$25,200/year for each SAIL Student
$25,000/year to stock and maintain the training kitchen
$12,500/year to maintain the technology lab
$8,800/year in rent for each CORE Student
$8,000/year to maintain the woodshop
$5,500/year for canes
$3,500/year for outings and confidence building
$1,100/week for each camper in Kids' Camp
