Human Resources Administrator – Baltimore, MD

Our need is for a Human Resources Administrator to join our Baltimore, MD location. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a close-knit group, in a team-based environment.

Essential Position Functions:
(Other Duties May Be Assigned)

  • Answers all HR phone calls and assists or directs calls.
  • Provide support for new hire orientation.
  • Manages the referral program and compliance related tasks.
  • Establishes and maintains databases, and other documents, including all new hire files and i-9 files.
  • Maintain eye medical book, performing monthly audits to stay compliant.
  • Schedule all interviews for the Baltimore location and initiates offer letters with HR Staffing Coordinator.
  • Give tours to potential Associates/outside agencies.
  • Creates and maintains birthday, retirement, and other special occasion programs. This includes creating a retirement program across all BISM locations.
  • Maintain HR forms on intranet.
  • Maintains organized filing systems (electronic and manual).
  • Provides day-to-day administrative support for managers, associates and others within their functional area.
  • Manage and send out Associate appraisals each month, based on Associate’s birthday.
  • Assist with various HR projects and communications.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  • Assist with Paycom functions, from an HR perspective and assisting Associates with their Paycom access.
  • Maintain a presence at weekly production meetings, to inform Associates of HR news and/or handle HR concerns that arise

Qualifications:

  • Must possess solid organizational skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must possess strong oral communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with staff and management at multiple levels.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to learn and operate other computer software as necessary.
  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrate strong initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
