What will you be doing?
The SAIL I.T.R. Instructor (Baltimore) will provide training and mentorship in one or more of the following areas: Computer Technology, Independent Living, Braille and/or Orientation & Mobility.
Essential Position Functions:

- Provides day-to-day training and education of others; works in a creative environment which requires invention, imagination, originality and talent.
- Participates in planning, implementation and evaluation of student objectives and goals.
- Principal mentor and coach to SAIL students.Provide blindness philosophy training to program students. Externally promotes the organization and participates in public or private functions as a representative of the company.
- Prepare daily reports and periodic evaluations.
- Work closely with Youth and Adult CORE training programs as needed.
- Provide training in the homes of potential students in all areas of Rehabilitation Training.
- Promote interaction among students through organized activities, seminars, and outings, etc.
Qualifications
- Requires education or learning beyond high school which was acquired by a prolonged course of specialized instruction.
- Must be able to read and interpret industry-specific journals, financial reports and legal documents as they apply to operations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
- Must be proficient in alternative skills of blindness.
- Must have analytical skills to effectively report critical information to management.
- Must possess solid organizational skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Must be a self-starter and demonstrate strong initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
