BISM hosts Community Awareness Day on October 16, 2006
Baltimore, MD - Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM) hosts Community Awareness Day on October 16 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
In recognition of National Disability Employee Awareness Month and White Cane Day, BISM is proud to host Community Awareness Day on October 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at our Baltimore facility located on 3345 Washington Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21227.
This event will be a great occasion for the citizens of Baltimore and surrounding counties to tour our incredible Baltimore facility and learn more about the multitude of opportunities offered at BISM. We are a not-for-profit organization that provides blind and visually impaired people of Maryland with state-of-the-art life skills training and a full range of employment opportunities. Our organization's mission is to instill self-confidence and increase the independence of our Associates and students. BISM's training department provides specialized programs for youth, adults and seniors, while our manufacturing operations produce a variety of products that support our State and Federal governments.
Community Awareness Day also includes the following fun and informative services and activities for all visitors:
