When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a Pediatric Nurse. I never had children of my own, but I love children, especially babies.

What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas! I love Christmas! It is a time that makes me very happy. On the other hand, I also get a little sad during that time too. I think about all the people who may be less fortunate. I really focused on being a helping hand during that time. Come to think of it, I try to be a helping hand year round. However, it is most special for me during the holiday season. So many people are out here doing their best and sometimes they just need a little extra help. At least, that is what I believe.

What is your favorite season?
I love summer! I love going to the beach and the mountains during that time. When it comes to the beach, I love listening to the ocean. The sound is so relaxing. My favorite part of visiting the mountains is all of the nature scents. Blowing Rock, here in North Carolina, is a mountain area I visit at least twice a year with my family. It is one of my favorite places. I love it there!

If you were sent to a deserted island and could only take three things with you, what would you bring?
I would probably take some water, nuts, and granola. That is, it. I would take food to help me survive being on the island.

What is the best complement that you have ever received?
I always appreciate when people recognize that I try to be as independent as possible.

What is your idea of a perfect day?
My perfect day is when I get up on Thursdays and Fridays. Those are my days off. I get up in the morning and I complete all of my housework. After that, I take my dog out for a long walk. Once we get back I spend the earlier part of the afternoon watching some TV. Around 4 that afternoon, my good friend and I meet up for dinner at a restaurant. That is a perfect day for me. Honestly, anything that involves my dog Kobe is perfect for me. He is a six-year-old chocolate lab. I talk about him all the time. Everyone around here knows about him.

What is the most exciting part of your job?
I do not know. Hmm. I like the people I work with. I like being able to teach people who are just learning to sew easier and more efficient ways of getting the job done. I also love being independent on the job. From time to time, I get moved to a different area on the floor. When this happens, my first thought is not to learn my new duties, but to learn how to get from my new area to other parts of the floor independently. Independence is especially important to me.
