Hagerstown, MD - The Senior Services division of Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM), a not-for-profit organization that provides training and employment opportunities for blind Marylanders of all ages, is seeking blind and visually impaired seniors of Washington County to take part in a monthly Senior Support Group.
The support group meets on the third Friday of each month, from 10 am to 1 pm, at the Trinity Lutheran Church located on 15 Randolph Avenue in Hagerstown. Lunch is provided free of charge to participants.
The purpose of the support group is to help seniors find positive solutions to vision loss, while developing relationships with other seniors who are experiencing vision loss.
In addition, product demonstrations of aids designed to help blind persons live independently will be presented, including adaptive computer technology. Guest speakers will also share their experiences with the group.
